This year’s conference theme, “Experiencing God in Today’s World” will share experiences of scholars of different faiths and philosophies. The event is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at and its many partners. The World Religions Conference (WRC) has been serving for the last 38 years in Canada as an invaluable means for bringing different religious and ethnic communities together in a manner which breeds tolerance, peace, cooperation, and understanding amongst the different religions within our society. This event is Canada’s largest and longest running Multi-faith event.

This year’s conference theme, “Experiencing God in Today’s World” will share experiences of scholars of 9 faiths and philosophical traditions. The conference further hopes that such mutual exploration will encourage better understanding and promote a harmonious co-existence among the members of Canada's cultural mosaic.

The 38th World Religions Conference is planned with all its famous traditions at the Humanities Theatre, University of Waterloo on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Speakers representing the world’s major religions and Humanism, as well as religious leaders, members of academia and media, and other dignitaries are expected to participate in the event.
The event is hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at of Canada with the cooperation of several cities, media, academic institutions and faith based associations. Admission is free, but seating is limited.

38th World Religions Conference – Sept 16, Waterloo

The World Religions Conference (WRC) is an annual multi-faith event which brings together learned scholars from the world’s major religions, providing them an opportunity to speak on a common topic from the perspective of their respective religious traditions. For 34 years WRC has been serving as an invaluable means for bringing different religious and ethnic communities together in a manner which breeds tolerance, peace, cooperation, and understanding amongst the different religions within our society. This event is now considered as one of the largest Multi-faith events of its kind in Canada.

 
This year’s conference theme, “Experiencing God in Today’s World” will share experiences of scholars of 9 faiths and philosophical traditions. The conference further hopes that such mutual exploration will encourage better understanding and promote a harmonious co-existence among the members of Canada's cultural mosaic.

The 38th World Religions Conference is planned with all its famous traditions at the Humanities Theatre, University of Waterloo on Sunday, September 16, 2018.


The event is expected to draw several hundred from the region. Several local, provincial and national leaders are expected to attend and deliver greetings at the event. Carefully selected renowned speakers representing Aboriginal Peoples' Religions, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Baha’i Faith, Sikh Religion and Humanism (Representatives of Agnostics and Atheism) will participate at the event. Faith groups will setup displays and participate in scripture recitation presentations.


The premier host of the event is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada. Cooperation and partnership includes several cities, media, academic institutions, faith based associations, Student clubs and numerous other organizations.


With free admission, brunch, lunch and refreshments, it’s a perfect chance to learn and interact with a multitude of faith and philosophical communities. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
